Designing Intuitive & Accessible Spatial Experiences for VisionOS

The world of VisionOS is an innovative space where user interaction is based on physical movements, gestures, and visual focus within a 3D environment. In this presentation, we will discuss the essentials of spatial design and the crucial role of intuitive interfaces that seamlessly blend with users' natural actions in spatial computing. We will explore the advanced input mechanisms required for interpreting a broad range of human behaviors and movements to ensure that digital interfaces are not only responsive but also intuitive.

Our discussion is centered on the Human Interface Guidelines, and we will cover the best practices for designing exceptional user experiences with a particular focus on VisionOS. Attendees will learn about key design considerations unique to spatial computing, such as ergonomic comfort, optimizing content for the user's field of view, and the strategic use of depth and scale to enhance interaction.

This presentation covers the importance of accessibility in spatial computing. We will demonstrate how VisionOS and SwiftUI work together to create inclusive immersive experiences. Attendees will learn to design intuitive and accessible spatial interfaces, expanding the boundaries of traditional UX design into VisionOS.
