Alex Levin is a design innovator and strategist dedicated to closing the gap between emerging tech and tangible business impact. As the Founding Partner of the global technology firm L+R, his work directing AR/VR strategy and development has earned prestigious honors, including the Red Dot and Webby Awards.
With a unique perspective that spans from high-level consulting to hands-on coding, Alex has led his teams in building foundational XR tools. He created LookSee, an iOS mobile VR prototyping tool adapted for Louis Vuitton, and developed Media View, an open-source Kotlin app for the Meta Quest. His frameworks have directly contributed to the Meta Spatial SDK, empowering other developers. By founding Meridian, a global spatial computing community, Alex actively fosters the ecosystem he helps build.
In 2017, Alex launched LookSee, an iOS mobile VR prototyping tool later adapted for Louis Vuitton. The following year, in collaboration with AWS, he led the creation of SeeLook, a 3D and AR iOS and Android mobile app powered by Amazon Sumerian. His team's design frameworks have contributed to the Meta Spatial SDK and resulted in the fully in-house development of Media View, an open-source app for the Meta Quest, built entirely in Kotlin. L+R continues to partner with Meta to support mobile designers entering the spatial computing space. Most recently L+R was announced as a launch partner for Meta's Device Access Toolkit for the Ray-ban Meta AI Glasses.
Alex writes the Spatial Computing Business Newsletter and also founded Meridian, the award-wining global spatial computing meetup with chapters in Berlin, Nairobi, Brooklyn, and beyond. He serves on the Parsons Alumni Committee Board, mentors at XRC Labs, advises the Ad Council, and is an alum of the Luxury Education Foundation. He was recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2019 .
