Seven years ago, Cayden realized that smart glasses were the inevitable next computing form factor, so he started building DIY captioning glasses in his dorm room. This led to working directly with the inventor of smart glasses at the University of Toronto, then to the MIT Media Lab where he researched proactive wearable agents on smart glasses. Today, he leads Mentra building AugmentOS - the open-source operating system for AI smart glasses.
