Dr. Yu Yuan, Founder of the Globalized Intelligent Virtualized Economy (GIVE) Initiative, is a visionary leader, innovator, scientist, and entrepreneur specializing in multimedia, virtual reality, metaverse, and digital economy. He has served in key leadership roles across various professional organizations, including President of the Metaverse Acceleration and Sustainability Association (MASA), Treasurer and Board Director of the Metaverse Standards Forum (MSF), Board Director of the Virtual World Society (VWS), Honorary President of the Japanese International Metaverse Association (IMA), Vice President and Board Director of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and President of the IEEE Standards Association. He holds Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
