Previously, she spent over 10 years in the ‘00s launching MTV International’s first-ever interactive digital platforms, websites, apps and live-streaming stunts which birthed and fueled her passion for creating groundbreaking, ‘media-first’ interactive, cross-platform fan experiences.
Currently, Muki is also the Innovation Co-Lead for the IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) Accelerators Media Innovation Programme, which fosters open knowledge R&D for timely, relevant, industry-recognised challenges via thought-leadership consortia, with Muki’s expertise spearheading the live and XR ecosystems that push creative, progressive production and broadcast engineering within Interactive XR, AI/Voice, Emerging Media, Fan Engagement, Digital Replicas/Digital Twins, Virtual Production and more.
She also passionately and proactively supports DEI initiatives, equality and culture change, and, in 2024 was appointed the UK Ambassador for the respected Women in Immersive Technologies Europe (aka, WIIT), the AWE 2023 Auggie Award-Winning (‘Best in Show’, via Bad*ss Girls) NGO that she’s been heavily involved with since its inception in 2016. WIIT’s values and goals aim to create an inclusive and supported network of talented, diverse women and non-binary individuals driving and inspiring our immersive VR/AR/MR/XR and spatial productions across industry sectors. As a professional MC, Moderator and Keynote Speaker, Muki is also in demand on the global speaking circuit and appears at other events such as SXSW, Stereopsia, ITW/VR Awards/AIXR, XR4HUMAN, MWC/4YFN, MPTS (Media Production Technology Show), Abbey Road Studios Spatial Audio Forum and more. She also sits on several industry Advisory Boards, Juries and Committees, and contributes to tech papers, standards and thought leadership publications focussing on emerging and progressive technologies within media and entertainment and improving gender equality.
